Easy Red lentil dahl – it’s so tasty and very easy!
I wanted a really lovely easy red lentil Dahl recipe and I wanted to write it for you. It’s taken me ages to get it just right. I’m sure you’re going to love it as much as I do
It’s easy, vegan, vegetarian, protein packed, low-fat, and delicious!!
This makes a big portion – so please half the recipe if you only want to serve 4!
And it’s made in the Slow Cooker! It’s very easy 🙂 Just dump it all in!
Some recipes have coconut milk added which makes a creamier Dahl, however I haven’t added any as I was conscious of fat and I wanted a very low fat recipe
What is Dahl?
Is Dahl good for you?
Dhal is an excellent source of iron and fibre, and a good source of protein, for vegetarians. This recipe is also VEGAN
Dahl is packed full of nutrients and provides a good source of vitamins, minerals and fibre.
Lentils are also high in protein and low in fat so they are great substitute for meat.
All pulses & lentils are a lower price protein too!

Really delicious recipe I tweaked it a little to our taste with a dash of sweet chilli sauce and English sauce we all loved it . Good job as it makes a massive portion for very little money. So the rest is going in the freezer to enjoy again .
